இருப்பு என்னும் நிலை தன்னுடைய சாரத்தை வந்தடையும் போது அதீத சுழற்சியானது அமைதியை தழுவும் பொழுது எளிமையான ஒன்று ஆன்மீகத்துடன் இணைகிறது. “திரைக்கடல் ஓடி திரவியம் தேடு” என்ற சொல்லுக்கேற்ப திருக்குறள் என்ற பொக்கிஷம் திருவள்ளுவரால் கடைந்தெடுக்கப் பட்ட அமுதம். காந்த ஒளி கொண்ட ரஜினிகாந்த் தமிழ் திரையுலக கடலில் எவ்வாறு முத்துப் போல் தோன்றினாரோ, அப்பிறப்பின் பயன் காந்தமாகிய திருக்குறளின் தேனமுதமான ரசந்தை எளிதில் நாம் பருகும்படி செய்து நம் வாழ்வின் நோக்கத்தை தெளிய வைக்கிறார். காந்த குறள் என்று அழைக்கப்படும் இந்த தனித்துவமான நாட்காட்டி இந்த இரண்டு அம்சங்களையும் இணைக்கிறது. இதைச் சார்ந்த பல காணொளிகளையும் கண்டு நாம் பயனுறலாம்…

Firstly, many thanks to God. My project insightfully developed purely with the Divine’s intervention. I extend my humble respects and deep gratitude to the Philosopher - ThiruValluvar, for giving us the treasure, ThiruKural - a cherished work of Tamil Literature for over 2000 years. The text contains 1330 couplets which serve as a ‘Wisdom-Guide’ to Living. My heartfelt thanks to each & everyone involved for their cumulative effort in showcasing the magic called ’RajniKanth’ in as many creative ways as possible. The entire being comes alive to this name called R*A*J*N*I. This name is an emotion - an inexplicable emotion, in every sense. Dear THALAIVA, I dedicate KanthaஃKural to honour your entire legacy and that of ThiruKural.

The WHY? ~ To celebrate Tamil heritage through ThiruValluvar's legacy ~ To engage audiences with Thalaivar’s cultural and spiritual impact ~ To connect tradition with modern interactive design ~ To create an innovative fusion of art, culture, and technology I created this project - KanthaஃKural as a calendar to simplify the essence of ThiruKural by connecting it to the thoughtful portrayals showcased by RajniKanth. The timelessness of ThiruKural and the relevance of SuperStar RajniKanth even to this day is what binds KanthaஃKural. The legendary essence - ThiruKural, merges with the legend’s presence - RajniKanth to maximise impact ThiruKural offers profound life lessons on all walks of life. Through his magnetism & simplicity, Rajni-KANTH throws light on the deep wisdom of Thiru-KURAL and brings out the essence to a full bloom in… KANTHAஃKURAL - Experience the Essence!

About the Calendar ThiruKural has 133 Chapters (133 topics) with 10 Kurals each to form 1330 Kurals totally. The Chapters are divided into 3 segments as Virtue (38), Wealth (70), & Love (25) ~ ThiruKural is presented in the form of a date-wise calendar in KanthaஃKural ~ The format of ThiruKural in the calendar is mostly sequential ~ Some Kurals from each of the 133 Chapters have been linked to a video in the form of scenes/songs/stage-speeches, but not all the 1330 Kurals are covered ~ Not all the Kurals are linked to a video ~ The Kurals that are missed out in between are presented at the end of ‘its Chapter’ in its video along with the meaning in English ~ Every video-scene is briefed through a ‘quote’ in English by the creator of this calendar ~ I have attempted as much to precisely connect most of the ThiruKurals to the videos according to my perception ~ The linking process was truly fruitful and rewarding to me; the learning was simple, fun, experiential, and impactful ~ The idea is to enable a new pathway to simplify profundity!
